The Meadow Lake Tribune, Issue 1

April 30th, 1990

We start this inaugural issue of the Meadow Lake Tribune with a look at our new welcome center, generously funded by the Meadow Lake Real Estate and Development Firm. The center boasts a full-size playground for the kids, an interior gift shop for the parents, and bathrooms for everyone!

As the first paper in the greater Meadow Lake area, we strive to bring you the most accurate, relevant, and up-to-date news.  While we do have affiliates in Lake City, we're a small town newspaper at heart. Our motto is "If it's not in the Tribune, it didn't happen!"

A Letter from The Meadow Lake Real Estate and Development Firm:

Dear Meadow Lake residents,

We thank you for your continued support of our common goals and initiatives in the past year. Our 1990 Q1 report is currently in processing. The results will be posted here in the Tribune and summarized on W-MLGN 99.2 with Kelly and Kent in the Morning. As residents and stakeholders in this community, we strive to make all of our business public so that everyone can have a say. Please forward all inquiries, comments, questions, or concerns to our Main Street office and allow for a seven business day turnaround on any communications.

Our town has grown immensely over the past year, and we recently broke new ground on a new subdivision - Waterfront Estates. Due to overwhelming demand, we are also surveying sites for additional housing developments in the Meadow Lake community. Expect floor plans and prices for Waterfront Estates to be available soon at our Main Street office, with any forthcoming development to be announced here in the Tribune.

We at Meadow Lake Real Estate understand the concerns a few members of the community have raised about our zoning proposals and city council initiatives. We welcome any and all discussion on the matter and have scheduled an open forum at the Meadow Lake Community Center to foster a greater climate of understanding. Seats must be reserved in advance, with the date and time to be announced at a later date.

Yours,

Thomas Percy
